Second Brain
A system to organize, store, and quickly retrieve all the knowledge Iβve accumulated, from career to hobbies.
What is a Second Brain?
My second brain is where I store everything Iβve learned and experienced. It allows me to quickly find notes on any topic β whether itβs about work, travel, or personal projects.
A second brain provides:
- Structure β Avoids sifting through unorganized notes.
- Speed β Quickly locate important information.
- Scalability β Handles knowledge growth without chaos.
How is My Brain Organized?
I use the P.A.R.A method to keep things simple and avoid folder bloat.
Areas
- Holds ongoing parts of my life (e.g., finances, travel, hobbies).
- Notes here are evergreen β things I may return to repeatedly.
- Examples:
- Vacation budget history
- Video game or movie notes
Resources
- Stores my knowledge library: articles, podcasts, images, personal notes.
- Organized using the Zettelkasten method to create a connected map of knowledge.
How I Take Notes
When writing notes, I always consider:
What would my future self need to remember?
This helps me focus on the essential takeaways rather than unnecessary details.
